Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations Street Enteratinment
As a Councillor
Stratford High School Governor
Town Management Partnership

In 2005 Stratford Town Council decided that it would like to build on the splendid town Christmas Lights and Christmas Street Markets to develop a Christmas Festival for both the townspeople and visitors alike. So the Town Council set about bringing a partnership together to work on the idea. Town, District and County Councils joined forces with The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, The Town Trust, The Town Management Partnership and the Police.

The Christmas Festival Committee quickly decided that part of this Festival should be Street Entertainments. A small Working Party was set up to coordinate the entertainments. Christmas 2005 saw the pilot year and a number of local schools and organisations sang and played around the town. Our usual Buskers came along to join I the fun, many people have said just how much they enjoyed the event.

If you would like to take part please contact me at my EMAIL address.
